There are many cold appetizers that can be achieved with great simplicity, including the one we present here, very tasty, with potatoes, tuna, cucumber and mayonnaise.
This dish is made by boiling potatoes and making it cool and then mix and crushing them with a fork.
Instructions
- Take the potato and peel it (1) by the peeler and then cut into small pieces (2) to put on a saucer (3) apart.
- In the meantime you will have put plenty of salted water in a saucepan, to boil, where soak the potato pieces (4) to boil them (5) for about 20 minutes. Once cooked and soft, take the potatoes, drain and put in a large bowl (6). Then let them cool.
- Take the cucumber, peel it (7) and cut it into very small cubes (8) to put in a saucer (9) apart. Keep a few pieces of peel for decoration.
- When the potatoes are cold, add some salt and start to mash them well (10) with a fork to make a puree. Then add the tuna (11), already drained and chopped finely. Finally also add part of capers (12), leaving someone to decoration.
- Then add to the preparation even the diced cucumbers (13) and pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (14), then mixing well (15) with a fork.
- Finally also joined almost all the mayonnaise (16), leaving a little bit to cover the appetizer. Then stir well again (17) with a fork and then started to put the appetizer on a wooden cutting board (18) with a spoon.
- Now with the spoon started to make the shape of an animal of your choice, in our case a cat (19) and then with the brush for food start to cover with remaining mayonnaise (20). Finally with the skin of the cucumber and the capers, decorate it, forming the mouth and the animal's eyes (21). Serve the chopping board at the center of the table.
