The pie with potatoes and onions is prepared with a recipe simple and fast, and it is very tasty. Perfect either as an appetizer that a second course, this pie is very popular, even by children. Try it both for the family and with guests, or as a snack for your aperitifs, in the garden. A great alternative to the usual meals of potatoes also.
Instructions
- Take the potato and peel (1) it using a potato peeler, then put it on the cutting board and with the large knife, cut it (2) in slices fine enough, about a couple of millimeters. Then put all the slices in a plate (3) apart.
- Now peel the onion and place on cutting board. With big knife chop it into circular slices (4) to cut it all (5). Then put the slices in a plate (6) apart.
- Now break the egg (7) in a small bowl and beat a little bit and then also add the milk (8). Then salt lightly and beat well with a fork (9) to mix everything.
- Now take a round cake pan and upholster the bottom with baking paper on which you will place the dough of puff pastry (10). Then work it with your hands to crush it and widen it (11) up to cover the entire bottom and form some small edges (12).
- Now you begin to put circularly the onion slices (13) on the puff pastry, keeping a gap between them to let space to the potatoes. Distribute thus the potato slices (14) in all the blanks (15). Season with salt.
- Finally, pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (16) over the entire pie and then also pour the mixture of egg (17) evenly. Finally place at the center the rosemary (18).
- Now we just need to bake (19) the cake pan in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes, and once ready-baked (20), take out the rosemary (21). Let stand a few minutes before serving on the table, or wait for the pie to cool completely.
