The apple tart and amaretto biscuits is a great dessert snack for adults and children, easy to do although the fairly long preparation. The tart is cooked with the classic method, while you have to prepare the jam for filling it with a slow cooking. Serve it at birthday parties perhaps accompanied by a glass of cold milk. The tart can be conserved for a long time, so it can be enjoyed in the following days.
Instructions
- Sift the flour into a bowl (1) and cut the butter into cubes (2) to add it to the flour (3).
- Start to mix summarily flour and butter (4) with the electric mixer, and then add 200 g of sugar (5). Grate the lemon rind (6) and put it aside.
- Now break the eggs, throw the egg whites and hold the yolks (7) in a glass. Then put the lemon zest (8) in the dough and put it all into a flat plate (9).
- Now add the eggs (10) and knead the dough (11) carefully by hand, whose movements will have to bring the ingredients from the bottom toward the center. You can add a bit of water (12) if the dough is too hard. Knead for about fifteen minutes.
- When you finish kneading (13), wrap it in the transparent film (14) for food to keep refrigerated (15) a couple of hours.
- Now start to prepare apples for the jam. Peel (16), cut into wedges (17) and then into cubes (18) to be put aside in a saucer, squeezing on top the lemon juice.
- Then put a pan on the fire, putting the medium low flame. Then add inside the diced apple (19) and add the remaining sugar (20). Stir constantly and cook for about an hour and a half until the apples will not be reduced in jam (21), which then put it to rest in a small bowl.
- Now take the amaretto and put them in a mortar (22), to beat them (23) into a powder. Then add to the jam (24) and mix well.
- So buttered the bottom (25) of a baking pan (23 cm in diameter) and place on the dough (26) that will have taken from the refrigerator, by cutting away about one-fifth for the decoration. Then start to widen it and crush it until it reaches the sides, creating the edges (27) of about 1 centimeter in height.
- Begin to make the tart taking the jam to pour (28) on the base. So with a spoon started to enlarge it (29) on the whole surface, forming a compact layer (30) of about half a centimeter thick.
- Then take the remaining part of the dough, make a strip (31) and then cut into small pieces to be rolled up (32) and placed on the pie (33) as decoration.
- Once the preparation of the pie is ready (34), you just need to bake (35) in a preheated oven at 160° C for about 40 minutes. Then take out (36) the tart and let cool before serving.
