    Grandma’s apple pie, classic and easy, is a dessert that anyone can make, with few ingredients, and even with a relatively low time. The cost is as low, for an 8 persons cake. This recipe is a great dessert for birthday parties at home or for fast frugal dinners.

    Instructions
    1. Take a classic peeler and peel them (1), to cut into 4 wedges (2). Remove the inner core with the seeds and then started to slice into thin slices (3).

    2. Now squeeze the lemon juice into a large and low saucer (4) with sugar (5), and place in the apple slices (6).

    3. Now prepare the zabaglione cream. Open the eggs and separate the yolks from the albumen. Put them separated into two different planets (7). In planetary with three yolks put 200 g of sugar (8) and with a mixer whip them (9) well until an eggnog homogeneous and well fluid, with no grains of sugar, light color.

    4. In the container where you put the egg whites instead (10), always use the mixer to whip them (11) in the snow. You will have to whip them well not to leave anything of egg on the bottom (12) of the container.

    5. Meanwhile, melt the butter over low heat (13). Combine the egg whites with the zabaglione into the bowl (14) and started to mix well with a spoon (15) to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Do not use the electric mixer now, but act from the bottom to the top with a spoon.

    6. Then passed through a sieve the flour (16) and mix with the cream Eggnog. Once you have a very dense, elastic dough, add the melted butter (17), mix with your hands and then add all the milk (18).

    7. Mix well with a spoon (19) and then started to beat with electric mixer (20) for getting back a thick, smooth paste, without lumps. Finally, add baking soda (21), still rehearsing with electric mixer.
    8. So take a cake pan opening on the sides and grease with butter anywhere. Now pour the entire cream into the cake pan (22), let it distribute well and then started to lean slices of apple (23) over placing them in concentric circles (24). Take more layers in order to obtain a good thickness of only apples.
    9. Once all the layers of apples are completed (25), bake the cake in the preheated oven and cook at 180° C for about 40 minutes. Check the cooking time to time and when ready (26) let it cool a couple of hours (27) before serving on the table for dessert, perhaps with a little bit of vanilla cream.
