    Gratin peppers are an easy dish to cook and bake. They can be served as a main course or as an appetizer for your meat or vegetable meals. The gratin is the classic one, made with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Everything is flavored with some herbs to taste, and garlic. To make the peppers au gratin, it takes at least an hour, because the cooking of this vegetable is quite long. Always follow it because the peppers are easily burned in the oven. If this happens, you can easily eliminate burned parts. Combine the peppers with a fruity white wine.

    1. Cutting and clean the peppers. Take and cut them in half (1), then, with the knife, remove all the plant parts and internal white ones (2). Then wash them carefully (3) to remove all seeds. Let dry.

    2. Grate the Parmesan cheese on a plate (4), to which add the breadcrumbs (5) and the dried rosemary (6).
    3. Add the dried thyme (7), and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper (8). Mix well (9) to combine the ingredients.

    4. Peel the garlic cloves (10) and cut them into slices (11). Put everything in a small bowl (12) aside.

    5. Cut the halves of the peppers into two or three pieces (13), following the internal ribs. Take a baking tray and pour a little of water. Lay on a sheet of baking paper (14), which thanks to the water will adhere perfectly without moving. Then lay on the strips of peppers (15).
    6. Add a little salt on the peppers (16), and fill them with the gratin mixture (17). Make a smooth layer with the back of the spoon, and then pour on a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (18).

    7. Place a couple of slices of garlic (19) on top of each pepper, and bake (20) in a preheated oven at 180° C for about 40 minutes. Then place under the grill for three minutes and take out (21). With the scissors removed the black parts and let cool for 15 minutes, before serving on the table at room temperature.
