The apple pie is a classic and very appreciated dessert, and every region of Italy has many recipes, with different ingredients.
If you want you can flavor this cake by adding cinnamon, which fits perfectly with the pleasant flavor of apples.
The preparation time and cooking apple pie, has a total of about forty-five minutes.

Instructions
- Put in a saucepan the butter to melt (1), then break the three eggs (2) in a large bowl and add sugar (3).
- Now with an electric mixer, whip all ingredients in the bowl, until the mixture will be foamy (4), then add the whole milk (5) and the lemon zest previously grated (6).
- Now add the butter previously melted (7) and with a spoon stir the ingredients well (8). When finished, add the sifted flour (9).
- Now add in the bowl the baking powder, always sifting through a sieve (10), then knead the dough in the same manner, using an electric mixer (11), up to the flour is blended with the other ingredients (12).
- Take the apples and place on a clean cutting board (13), then peel them (14). Cut the apples into four parts and take off the core. Finely cut in slices very fine (15) and leave the slices aside on a saucer.
- Now grease bottom and sides of a round baking pan with butter, or use the baking paper (16), then pour inside the dough prepared earlier (17) and garnish the surface with putting apple slices in a circular direction (18) or as you like. Bake in preheated oven at 150° C for about 35-40 minutes. When ready, take out and let cool. If you like, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Serve accompanying it with a cup of milk.
